Wikinovel is the world's first collaboratively written fiction novel. Yeah, that's write--or, I mean right. Sorry. Anyway, everyone gets to contribute: you can write and edit anything and everything, whether it's your work or someone else's.
The Story
Wikinovel starts here:
| "While on a camping trip, a young boy and his older brother stray from their family and happen upon a carnival in the middle of nowhere." This is our logline, or really, what the novel is all about. Keep it in mind. |
From that single sentence, we'll write a full-length, 50,000-word fiction novel. Everything we create, from plot outlines to characters to the chapters themselves will stem from that single idea. Thanks to the guys at Fresh Boiled Peanuts. They wrote the book, called The Writer's Book of Matches, that our idea came from.
That's where we start. Now, we just have to write the novel. Only, 50,000 words to go.
